We are Carl & Cara - creative, passionate, and maybe a little bit crazy. At a time in our lives when most look forward to slowing down, we decided to take the leap to share our creativity and passions through starting a small business. We created Dagobah Bay as a family business creating imaginative art inspired by cross-generational stories and legends, genres of geek culture, and small joys that bring smiles, start conversations, and connect us. We launched as vendors at our first event in September 2023 and found ourselves awed by both the nostalgia our products brought to old school fans of legends, lore, and space opera (like us!) and the wonderment they invoked in young new fans of the beloved stories and fascinating legends & lore that inspire us.

Our very first product line in September of 2023 consisted of lighted shadow boxes & layered art celebrating iconic Star Wars imagery. We then added legendary cryptid, alien, and Halloween images, etched acrylic night light lamps, and a few other products. As we strongly (and some might say controversially) believe you can (and we do!) love both space operas, in 2024 we added Star Trek to our line. That same year monsters, Dungeons & Dragons, and fantasy (blame Cara for the unicorns and fairies!) were added, and we expanded our materials adding coasters, keychains and charcuterie/serving boards to our line. In 2025 we introduced our popular Lord of the Rings "Feasting in the Shire" serving board design and we also introduced our crowd favorite wood-covered notebooks, phone stands, and ornaments. As 2026 has progressed, we've added dragons and acrylic-covered notebooks, and with the holiday season fast approaching we are excited to continue to introduce new products exploring mixed materials and media including ink and paint. Carl's light boxes continue to be a hit and his designs have evolved over the years, most recently adding hand-inked color to the designs, adding to their artistry even with the LED lights off.
We started this journey by purchasing a Cricut cutting machine, then added an xTool 5-watt diode laser engraver, most recently adding an OMTech 50watt CO2 laser engraver to the Dagobah Bay workshop. Every item is part of a story, and each image is rendered in unique ways by Carl for people of all ages who love these genres as much as we do.

Dagobah Bay is inspired by geek culture and connected to the inner geek in all of us. We want our pieces to invoke smiles and memories, and start conversations and connections with and for our customers. The imagery and artistry of our pieces are intended to invoke feelings such as fun, excitement, and wonder so that every time the customer looks at the product, they experience that feeling time and time again and want to share that feeling with others.
We are a foundling business and this is only the beginning - our creativity is limited only by our passions and the cross-generational passions that bring people together. We are driven by the excitement of sharing stories, legends, and genres that inspire.
We vow to never stop the geek think that is constantly exploring and creating and wish the same for all of you!
